Doc Lounge Special – BUGS

Mon 19 Sept / 19.00 / Babel / Accreditation, Festival pass – free / Adult SEK 80, Student SEK 60

In September, Doc Lounge is celebrating 10 years by inviting you to a once in a lifetime culinary event.

The main attraction is the Swedish premiere of the Danish documentary Bugs, equal parts gastronomic documentary and political conversation starter, directed by Andreas Johnsen. The film takes us on a journey around the globe together with Danish Nordic Food Lab, where we get acquainted with termite queens, desert-delicacy honey ants, venemous giant hornets and long-horned grasshoppers. The chefs and researchers forage, farm, cook and taste, and ultimately ask – can eating insects save our planet?

About Doc Lounge: Doc Lounge is a Nordic platform for events, outreach and alternative distribution of new documentary films, hosting exciting film screening events in 19 Nordic cities and has its headquarters and flagship located in Malmö.
