Machgan sells chewing gum on the streets of Kabul to get money for her drug-addicted father. Everything in the family revolves around her father's need for drugs, and Machgan is falling behind her friends at school. Machgan's little brother is bullied because his father is a dope-head. At home the children fear his violent temper. But one day Machgan persuades her mother to help her against her father.
