A documentary about the multi-talented Kurt Schwitters. With his whimsical one-man art school Merz became an important artist in the post-war period. Schwitters’ work spans collages and paintings to creative space sculptures and abstract poetry. The film deals with Schwitters’ experiences in Germany after the First World War and his long exile in Norway in the Thirties.
