In a synchronized swimming training session, twelve-year-old Mira becomes fascinated with her middle-aged coach, Lucy. Mira fakes an injury to stays on after class and lies about having an absent mother. Lucy is captivated by Mira's imagination and invites the girl home. But Mira goes too far, and they both discover the difference between dream and reality.
