Nore I
Nore I
At one of Europe's largest power plants, Nore I, water rushes through pipes from the highest point of the river Numedalslågen, dropping 900 meters. Nore I is undergoing construction, and in 1996 the pipeline was shut down. Current plans are to re-directed the water through the mountain. The old pipeline will be kept as a museum and a tourist attraction. The film makers chose the power plant as a location largely for the visual effects, but more importantly for their fascination with the energy it generates. This made it important to film in an active pipeline. The sound track bears witness.
