Aleppo's Fall
Aleppos fall
Before Aleppo's fall, the Syrian-Norwegian director Nizam Najar travelled back to his home town. With his camera, he follows a group of civilians who fight under the flag of the Free Syrian Army to defend themselves against their own government. A tailor, Haj Khaled, makes flags for the peaceful demonstrations against the dictatorship and ends up leading a militia of young men fighting for their freedom. In the fight against Assad and Putin on one side and ISIS on the other, Haj Khaled tries to keep the group together and their morality intact.
