A Devil with Harpoon
En Djevel med Harpun
Legendary Norwegian whaler Lars “Devil” Andersen commanded the Kosmos expedition in the 1930s that set catch records that are still unbeaten. But during the second world war, he collaborated with the Germans and his reputation died. His name was erased from history books and he went into exile. In Argentina he became an adviser to President Perón and ended up in charge of a controversial whaling project paid for by Aristotle Onassis. Andersen died in 1967 with the souls of 7,000 whales on his conscience.
