The Eternal

The Chinese classical garden is a synthesis of a thousand years of landscaping, architecture, poetry and painting. The idealised artificial terrain of the garden has for centuries prompted artists to create archetypal landscape images, which in turn have inspired garden design. The gardens are transcendental spaces providing artificial landscapes and virtual oases to silence the surrounding megalopolitan overload.
