Moshe’s New Year - the Making of a Tradition
Moshes nytår - En tradition skabes
A group of Jews meet in Langerskov, Denmark, to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Ha’Shanah. Traditions are rediscovered, re-interpreted – and created. The film does not aim to give a scientifically correct portrayal of Orthodox Jews, but rather to show ‘goyim’ how Orthodox Jews in Denmark live. They live as Danes, though retaining some of their own traditions.
