"Consolation Service" is a 24-minute short film and a DVD installation. Its theme is endings, death and time from the point of view of a young woman. The installation is a projection using two video projectors. Two adjacent images tell the story of a young couple. In the film version the material has been re-edited and the story unfolds in a single image. This shifts the position of the viewer from that of an observer in space to that of a spectator with a closer relationship to the characters in the story. The style is a combination of documentary realism and cinematic fantasy.
