A documentary about Yuri Chevtchuk and DDT, currently Russia’s best-known rock group. Chevtchuk founded DDT in Ufa, an industrial city in the Urals, in 1980. Soon after the group’s second album he was put under surveillance by the KGB and had to go underground. After Perestroika, Chevtchuk surfaced with a new DDT line-up in St. Petersburg. In 1995 he went to Chechnya to play more than 60 acoustic concerts for Russian soldiers. Chevtchuk is passionate about peace and protecting Russian culture.
