Board Control
Brettkontroll
Skateboarding was illegal in Norway from 1978 to 1989. It was the only country in the world where it was illegal to sell, buy or use skateboards. We follow two generations of skaters — from the late 1970s underground culture, skating at secret locations in the forest around Oslo, to the commercial explosion when skating was legalized. The Norwegian government's policy was overprotective, but paradoxically, prohibition prompted creativity.
