Don’t expect cauldrons or wands in this programme that offers a playful and political take on a well-known figure. Who are the modern witches? How has this symbol been reinterpreted and reclaimed in recent years? Subversive and independent women populate these films (three brand new productions and two favourites from past editions) that take us for a wild ride – from a heated midsummer celebration to a Halloween party that turns ugly.
