Most trilogies are planned from the start, but sometimes magic happens by accident. That’s the case with Malmö’s Simon Folger and his brilliant collaborators, Olof Bendz, Fred Bendz, Peter Malmgren and Judit Wassrin. Since 2022 they’ve gifted us with The Authentic Self (2022), Nutello Hus (2023) and ¿Hablas Español? (2025) – Folger’s solo directorial debut which will have its world premiere at the event. Each short masterfully explores the dynamics between two male characters, touching on identity, modern anxieties and the quest for connection. What makes these films truly shine?
