How to Co-produce a Short Film

In this year’s How To session we look into co-production of short films. What are the benefits and challenges, both financially but not least creatively for both the main producer and for the co-producers?

How do you as a director remain in control of your artistic vision with many players involved? How do you as main producer balance the regulations and requirements and the creative input from different countries?

What is the incentive for you as a minor co-producer to come on board and what are the benefits for you and your company?

Through a case study of Duty Free by Hilke Rönnfeldt (DE, DK, SE) we try to answer all of these questions.
