Skiing Above the Icebergs

The film follows an international team of experienced skiers and mountaineers on a ski trip ‘above the icebergs.’ The trip is the first organised for alpine skiers in craggy, beautiful East Greenland. Climbing mountains, skiing steep terrain, racing downhill on dogsleds and fishing amidst icebergs were all part of the adventure. The local people, the spectacularly fiery sunsets over the ice cap and most of all, the truly heart-stopping scenery provide the breathtaking backdrop.
