The questions of getting documentaries funded and distributed are two of the core challenges facing producers and filmmakers.

The Nordic and Baltic countries are known for having some of the most well established structures in place and yet the challenges facing filmmakers are persistent and seem at times impossible to overcome.

So, what do the funding and distribution options in this region look like and what are the opportunities and challenges they present? What efforts are being made to develop the schemes in place and how could they improve? And not least, how can we as an industry work together to keep developing the systems to fit the realities of today?

In this seminar we’ll start mapping the landscape, challenging the status quo and looking to the future.
