A Night of Wrestling: Regina – Queen of the Ring

Discover your inner fighter with Doc Lounge and Nordisk Panorama at the screening of the Finnish documentary Regina – Queen of the Ring! Experience Regina’s empowering journey as a young feminist wrestler who takes on male opponents to become an international star, while fighting real battles as she stands up for female representation and inclusivity behind the scenes. As well as the candid portrait of a woman in her 20s in a male-dominated industry, the film provides a captivating insight into the complex world of wrestling.

Two of our special guests of the evening will be the iconic performers, Madison Morgan and Benny Bacchus. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear their experiences and impressions as professional wrestlers. If you’re lucky, you might even catch an up-close glimpse of some wrestling!

After the screening of Regina – Queen of the Ring, stick around for a Q&A session with director Panu Suuronen, producer Susanna Lasarov, and Regina herself, where you can delve deeper into the making of the film and Regina’s story.

The event takes place at Babel, a former church and one of Malmö’s most unique clubs and concert venues.

Doors open at 19.00 for mingling over a glass of wine, and the event starts at 19.30.
