It has been an exciting year topped with a great Nordisk Panorama festival in September. Over 9.000 people visited our screenings, events and industry days in Malmö. We cannot wait to get started on next year’s edition taking place 19 – 24 September in 2024

Doc Forward & Nordic Rough Cut Projects 2024

After receiving a record amount of applications the selection for the Doc Forward Workshop has been made and 12 projects from the Nordic countries have been selected.

Doc Forward is a project-driven co-production workshop for emerging Nordic documentary producers and directors, with a focus on nationally established and new talent directors with ambitions to go international in partnership with both new and more established producers. 

The first part of the workshop will take place in Helsinki 27 – 30 January 2024.


Furthermore we are happy to announce that three Nordic projects have been selected for the Nordic Rough Cut session and will receive input from an expert panel plus a 2-hour private session with an experienced editor.

Becoming Ema

Walls 
by Nina Paninnguaq Skydsbjerg & Sofie Rørdam, producer Emile Hertling Péronard for Anorâk Film, Greenland

Celtic Utopia 
by Dennis Harvey & Lars Lovén, producer Elin Lilleman Eriksson for MDEMC Produktion & Jamie Goldrick for Pushpull, Sweden, Ireland

Nordisk Panorama will organise this industry session together with DocPoint Helsinki Documentary Film Festival and it will take place during their festival in January.



Celebrating Winter Solstice
With Two Short Film Programs

   

Fire, Light, Sound, Film, Art at Urban Arts Hanger

Welcome to an evening of fire, light, sound, film, and art among factories and crumbling walls.
Together with Centrum För Urbankonst (CFUK) we are celebrating Winter Solstice on 21 December, the shortest day of the year. The event will take place in Malmö and start when the sun sets at 15.37 and continue until 20.00!

Nordisk Panorama will present art films from chaos animators Pink Twins from Finland.

Further participating artist are:
Soundscape by Kuddfortet, light installations by Åsa Wirling, poetry by Nora KJ, art by Tilde Sääf, installation by Icy and Sot.

Short films on the shortest day of the year in Eslöv

Together with Ung Kultur i Eslöv, Nordisk Panorama will present a short film programme for the youth at cinema Bian in Eslöv. A perfect way to celebrate, not only the shortest day of the year, but also the last day before the Christmas Holidays begin!
 
The event is free. Doors open 18.00, screening starts at 19.00

Nordisk Panorama is Seeking New Director


The board of Nordisk Panorama seeks to hire a new Director for the organisation. We are looking for a professional with passion for documentary and short films that will take on the task of leading a cornerstone organisation within the Nordic film industry.The director will work together year round with the management team sharing the responsibilities of day to day tasks. Seasonal staff, as well as volunteers, are hired around the NP event in Malmö each year, in collaboration with the Managers.
