Hitler and Us On Klamparegatan Street
Hitler och vi på Klamparegatan
Twelve-year-old Eric grows up in working-class Gothenburg in the Thirties. His father is a stevedore but is often without work. His sternly religious mother fights to feed and clothe the six children. When she dies, Eric runs away to sea. His ship is torpedoed by a German submarine in World War II. He survives, returns home and begins to write, ultimately becoming a well-known writer. At the age of 70 he marries a lovely woman.
