The Uppsala Institute for Racial Biology at Uppsala University, Sweden, was closed down in the 1960s. Today, in the same building, research in genetic manipulation is conducted by dissecting DNA. This animated film, based on archive material from the Institute, looks at the classification of people based on outward appearance. Does modern genetic manipulation justify the previous century’s racial research?
