Tiu Similä is a whale researcher, a young lady, who, for some years, has conducted independent research on killer whales in northern Norway. Woman and whales is a film about them, and about Tiu’s baby growing up. It’s a film about the people who have taken it as their life-task to clear some of the mysteries hidden in the depths of the Arctic Sea.
