Marju Lepp

Filmivabrik, Estonia

 

Producer Marju Lepp has worked as a producer and line producer at Filmivabrik since 1998. She has been the chief producer for 18 documentaries, two full-length features, and numerous shorts. Currently, she is working on one full-length feature and three documentary films in parallel.
The latest documentary, In Bed with a Writer , premiered at DokLeipzig 2019 International Competition long Documentary and Animated films.

Ülo Pikkov

Silmviburlane, Estonia

 

Ülo Pikkov is an internationally renowned filmmaker, producer and film scholar. He studied animation in Finland and since 1996 has directed several award-winning short films. In 2006 he founded a film production company Silmviburlane in Tallinn and became a producer of documentary and animation films. Silmviburlane has focused on creating cinéma d’auteur and mixing documentaries with animation techniques. Currently Ülo is co-producing Estonian-Ukrainian feature documentary Fairytale about the Wood Horse (released in 2021) that is looking for distribution partners.

Matīss Kaža

Matiss Kaza is a producer, writer and director, currently based in Riga, Latvia. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film & Television Production. His first documentary film One Ticket Please has been screened in film festivals around the world, winning several awards. In 2020, he released his second documentary The Wanderers. Matiss is currently hard at work at directing two feature films, while also producing several fiction and documentary projects.

Antra joined Mistrus Media in 2012 after being in charge for marketing communications of social responsibility and cultural projects in the biggest daily newspaper in Latvia for five years. She has profound experience in the production of creative and historical documentaries. Latest production “To Be Continued” premiered internationaly at Visions du Réel 2018.

Giedre Žickytė

Moonmakers, Lithuania

 

Giedre Žickytė is an award-winning Lithuanian documentary film director and producer and the co-founder of the production company, MOONMAKERS. Her films have been selected at numerous international film festivals including IDFA, Hot Docs, Visions du Réel, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Rotterdam IFF, etc., have been theatrically distributed and broadcast internationally. She produced THE EARTH IS BLUE AS AN ORANGE by I.Tsilyk that premiered in Sundance 2020 World Documentary Competition (Best Directing Award).

Dagne Vildziunaite

Just a Moment, Lithuania

 

Dagne Vildziunaite is working in TV and film industry for more than 15 years. In 2007 she established independent production company Just a Moment that already produced 20 films both short and features, documentary and fiction. Her recent titles include Breathing Into Marble, Core of the World, Nijole, Spoon. She is a national representative of EAVE and EURODOC in Lithuania. In 2017 she was nominated for the Best Professional Work in Cinema at National Film Awards “Silver Crane”.

Arūnas Matelis

Arunas Matelis is internationally awarded documentary director and producer. Films produced by Arunas received over 40 int. awards including main documentary and A class festivals and have been released in tens of countries in Europe, America and Asia. Arūnas Matelis is among few European film directors who have been honoured by one of most important US film industry prizes – Directors’ Guild of America(DGA) Award. As well Arunas is winner IDFA, Leipzig, Warsaw, ZagrebDox, Documenta Madrid and many more. Now in postproduction two new docs, winners several pitching forums, including  San Sebastian and Busan. Its “Ayena”(India-LT) and “Lobster Soup”(Spain-Iceland-LT).

Rasa Miškinytė

Era Film, Lithuania

Rasa studied film production management at Lithuanian Music Academy, and at The European Film College, Denmark.
From 2001 till 2006 Rasa was working at Lithuanian Radio and Television Public broadcaster(LRT), as a Commissioning Editor at LRT, producing documentaries and working with independent directors, producers. She was attending project development courses as “Twelve 4 the Future”, “Discovery Campus”, “Eurodoc”.
From 2006 Rasa has been working as independent producer within her own company UAB “ERA FILM”, where she produces creative documentaries, most of them are international co-productions. From 2010 till 2013 Rasa was leading the Independent Producer’s Association in Lithuania.

Zane Balčus

Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries

 

Zane Balcus is the head of the Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries(BSD) in Riga, Latvia. BSD is an international co-financing pitching forum, focused on documentary projects from the Baltic Sea region, Eastern Europe and Caucasus region. Balcus is also a junior research assistant at the Scientific Research Centre of the Latvian Academy of Culture, and a freelance film critic. She has an extensive experience in programming, curatorial and management fields in different organisations, she has been the director of Riga Film Museum from 2014-19. She is a co-author of several books on Latvian cinema, and contributes to various publications on cinema. Balcus has served on the FIPRESCI jury at IDFA(2019), goEast international competition jury (2020), Cannes Docs works in progress jury at Marche du Film(2020).
