Every year, Nordisk Panorama brings together some of the most exciting new documentaries and short films from across the Nordic region.

This year’s competition films are in the running for awards celebrating outstanding filmmaking, emerging voices and Nordic talent. And audiences get their say too, with the City of Malmö Audience Award.

BEST NORDIC DOCUMENTARY

Selected documentaries from the Nordic countries compete for the award. The award goes to the director(-s) of the winning film. The cash award of 11.000€ is sponsored by the Nordic public broadcasters DR, NRK, RÚV, SVT and YLE.

 

BEST NORDIC SHORT FILM

Selected short films from the Nordic countries compete for the award. The award goes to the director(-s) of the winning film. The prize-winning film will qualify for consideration in the Short Film Category of the annual Academy Awards®, the Oscars. The cash award of 5.000€ is sponsored by the associations Danish Film Directors and Swedish Film Directors.

 

NEW NORDIC VOICE

The New Nordic Voice competition introduces films by promising Nordic filmmakers. The award goes to the director(-s) of the winning film. The cash award of 5.000€ is sponsored by Film i Skåne.

 

YOUNG NORDIC

We ask our youngest festival audience to tell us which film they like the best and award the winner with the Young Nordic Award. The cash award of 1.500€ is sponsored by the City of Malmö.

 

CITY OF MALMÖ’S AUDIENCE AWARD

The audience can vote for any of the Nordic short films and documentaries competing in the main competition programmes. The award goes to the director(-s) of the winning film. The cash award of 2.500€ is sponsored by the City of Malmö
