There is something about radio that feels closely connected to film. Both are built from voices, sounds, stories and ideas – and both have the ability to bring people together
around something they might not otherwise have discovered.
This year, Nordisk Panorama wanted to explore that connection with our own festival radio station: a collaborative experiment shaped by different voices from across Malmö.
Together with Malmökanalen, Retreat Radio, Malmö stad’s KulturCrew and students from Malmö Latin, we created a space for filmmakers, festival guests, young people
and audiences to meet through interviews, conversations, music and unexpected encounters. For us, Nordisk Panorama On Air is another way of opening up the festival
– creating an informal space to discover cinema and the people and ideas surrounding it.
