An exploration of loneliness in the Swedish countryside. Mattias spends his days drinking and working at the local saw mill. When he calls in to request a song on the radio, the conversation with the radio host makes him reflect on life, the choices he has made and what lies ahead of him. Shot on 16 mm film and combined with real archive footage, we follow Mattias in both present and past as he struggles with loneliness and finding his will to live.
