Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Finland joined NATO and closed its border to Russia. This left nearly 100,000 Russian-speaking inhabitants caught between their homeland’s aggression and their new home’s tightening stance. An exploration of this emotional and ideological divide through the lives of three women whose paths, though intertwined by language and culture, diverge sharply in worldview. The documentary is a powerful exploration of exile, identity and inherited trauma.
