Fifteen-year-old Valentina moves from Russia to Norway, to her mother and her mother's Norwegian fiancé. Valentina meets her new stepbrothers, Lars and Aksel. She and Lars become close friends, despite differences and lack of a common language. Big brother Aksel does not approve. It all ends in disaster.
