Synopsis: On a dark night in 1943, the teddy bear Mo becomes a refugee. Torn from the child he loves, Mo flees Nazi-occupied Denmark across the sea to Sweden. Through his stitched eyes, we witness fear, loss, and the quiet heroism of ordinary Danes and Swedes who risk everything to help others escape. A tender, visually poetic story that offers a child’s perspective on war, resilience, and the small comforts that carry us through the darkest times.

About the director: Jukka Kärkkäinen has been making documentary films since 2003. He is the co-founder of the production company Mouka Filmi. His previous titles include the National Film Award-winning documentaries The Living Room of the Nation (2009) and The Punk Syndrome (2012). Jukka’s documentaries have screened at major festivals such as Hot Docs, SXSW, CPH:DOX, and Sheffield Doc/Fest, and have been shown on all continents – including Antarctica. The Living Room of the Nation was also screened at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Synopsis: The film explores the evolving bond between a father and son. As years pass, their closeness grows. But when Henri chooses a life with his girlfriend, Tero must learn to face his world alone.
