BEST NORDIC DOCUMENTARY
Robin Petré
Filmmaker
Robin Petré is a Danish director with a special interest in human-animal relations and the natural world.
Her film ONLY ON EARTH (2025) premiered at the Berlinale after receiving the Cannes Marché du Film Docs-in-Progress Award, and received the Best Nordic Documentary Award at Nordisk Panorama.
Her award-winning feature-length debut FROM THE WILD SEA (2021) also premiered at the Berlinale. Robin is a Doc Nomads MA graduate.
Steven Artels
Head of the Documentary Unit
RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse)
Since 2018, Steven Artels has headed the Documentary Unit at RTS.
After graduating from INSAS in Brussels, Artels joined RTS as a director in 1991. He later worked on the production teams of several programmes, including Temps Présent, Passe-moi les jumelles and Caravane FM, which he co-created in 2017.
Among the documentaries he has directed, Tchernobyl, ma centrale bien-aimée was awarded first prize at FIGRA in 1996, while GI’s, cauchemar d’Irak won the Premis Actual Prize in Barcelona in 2005.
Nora Phillipe

EURODOC
Nora Philippe is a filmmaker, producer, curator, and head of EURODOC since 2022.
She has directed several documentaries, including Restitution? Africa’s Fight for Its Art (2022) and Girls for Tomorrow (2025).
She is a voting member of the European Film Academy, an alumna of ENS and the Columbia Institute for Ideas and Imagination, and has served on numerous festival juries (IDFA, RIDM, CPH:DOX, LaScam).

Nela Zielinska

New Europe Film Sales
Nela Zielińska is a graduate of Literary and Cultural Analysis from University of Amsterdam.
She joined New Europe Film Sales in 2023, a Warsaw-based sales agency for both features and shorts, where she is responsible for feature film acquisitions and for the short film catalogue.
She often participates as Industry guest in events such as Short Film Corner, Tampere Film Festival, Torino Film Lab Meeting Event, EAVE meeting event.
Rúnar Rúnarson
Film Director
Rúnar Rúnarsson (b. 1977, Reykjavík) is an Icelandic director whose short film trilogy Crossroads won 93 international awards, with The Last Farm Oscar-nominated in 2006 and 2 Birds a Cannes Palme d’Or nominee.
His features Volcano, Sparrows, Echo and When the Light Breaks have premiered at Cannes, San Sebastián and Locarno. His latest short, O (Circle), premiered in Venice in 2024.
Miguel Dias

Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival
Miguel Dias is a Portuguese film curator, programmer and producer.
He is Director of Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency, dedicated to the international promotion, sales and distribution of Portuguese short films, and Director and Programmer of Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival and Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery.
He has curated numerous film programmes, retrospectives and events in Portugal and internationally, and previously worked as a producer in the film and audiovisual department of Porto 2001 – European Capital of Culture.

Kathleen McInnis
Marketing Producer & Strategic Publicist
Marketing Producer & Strategic Publicist Kathleen McInnis helps emerging world cinema filmmakers merge their creative and business development on the global film festival circuit at major film festivals such as Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes, Toronto, and Venice.
Her recent producing credits include Fantastic Machine (Directors Axel Danielson and Maximilien Von Aertryck, 2023). McInnis also runs Oscar®-campaigns for International Features and Short Films.
Päivi Hirsiaho
Visual Artist and Animator
Päivi Hirsiaho (born 1987 in Jyväskylä, Finland) is a visual artist and animator.
Hirsiaho relies on a DIY approach; she does everything herself, from drawing and filming the animation to creating the animation sounds. Hirsiaho draws thousands of frames by hand, and by the end of the filming, her hands are covered up to her elbows in dry pastel dust.
Sigrid Hadenius
Festival Director
Uppsala Short Film Festival.
Sigrid has been part of the festival since 2011 and has extensive experience in the film and culture industry. After working as the Industry Producer at Tempo Documentary Festival, she served as the Festival Producer for eight editions of the Uppsala Short Film Festival.
Her primary focus has been to develop the festival’s industry events, and since 2023, she has been Head of the National Competition. Sigrid has a background in art history (Uppsala University) and film studies (Stockholm University).
