The Making of a Surgeon
The Making of a Surgeon
A compelling, character-driven documentary that follows Dr. Faustin Ntirenganya and a team of Rwandan surgeons as they strive to meet the medical needs of a nation. Faustin is one of only two reconstructive surgeons who must cover the whole of Rwanda and its 14 million people. He has now devised a plan to train thirty new reconstructive surgeons by 2030. However, in a region plagued by armed conflicts and suffering from brain drain, the success of this plan is uncertain.
