The Golden Swan
The Golden Swan
In 1995 a young Norwegian artist travels to India in search of artistic growth. While hiking in Kashmir he is taken hostage by a militant group. During captivity he secretly writes poems and letters to his sister, filmmaker Anette Ostrø. Found on his body after his execution, these texts become the foundation of an intimate evocation of his final months. The Golden Swan transforms a landmark act of modern terrorism into a deeply human story of forgiveness and moral resistance in the face of fear.
