Nordisk Panorama Visits Tempo Documentary Festival

Nordisk Panorama is strongly represented at Tempo Documentary Festival in Stockholm, Sweden, 2-8 March. Festival Producer Monalisa Sundbom is there together with Forum Manager Christina Jul Gregersen who will be giving individual project consultations about Nordic and international financing to selected projects at NP Nomadic Office.

Thursday 5 March at 17:30 Nordisk Panorama invites guests at the festival to join us for a drink and get the latest updates on Nordisk Panorama at Bar Brooklyn, Debaser Strand.

NP Town Hall & Vodka Hour at Tampere Film Festival

Nordisk Panorama will host the fifth Finnish NP Town Hall during Tampere Film Festival, Finland, 4-8 March. The NP Town Hall gathers key industry stakeholders for a Nordic forum addressing current issues in the short and documentary film industry.

The fifth NP Town Hall is hosted by Vice Chairman of the board Sami Jahnukainen and the theme for discussion is “Crowdfunding in short and documentary films”.

The NP Town Hall takes place at Werstas Auditorium Friday 6 March at 13:30 and will be followed by our infamous Nordic Vodka Hour at 16:00. Join Market Manager Jing Haase and Sami Jahnukainen for a drink at the Festival Centre.

Saturday 7 March at 10 AM you can put your film to the test and find out about it’s distribution potential at the “Who Would Buy This?” session moderated by Jing Haase at Pakkahuone.

Meet Us at The Financing Forum for Kids Content & Good Pitch Europe

Director Katrine Kiilgaard will be present at The Financing Forum for Kids Content in Malmö, Sweden, 10-12 March.

Together with Forum Manager Christina Jul Gregersen, Katrine Kiilgaard will also be present at Good Pitch Europe in Oslo, Norway 25 March to explore the field of impact campaigning for documentaries further.

Danish Doc Make the 2015 POV Lineup

The Danish documentary Ai Weiwei: The Fake Case by Andreas Johnsen has made it into the 2015 POV lineup and will be screened on U.S. public television’s longest-running showcase for independent non-fiction films, the award-winning series POV, on public broadcaster PBS in the fall.

Last year three Danish docs made the cut: Dance for Me directed by Katrine Philp, The Act of Killing directed by Joshua Oppenheimer (Nordisk Panorama 2013 – Best Nordic Documentary) and A World Not Ours by Mahdi Fleifel (Nordisk Panorama 2013 – Best New Nordic Voice).

Previous Nordic titles screened on POV are Armadillo by Janus Metz (DK), Steam of Life by Joonas Berghäll (FI) and Tintin and I by Anders Østergaard (DK).
