Less than 2  Weeks to Submit Your Project to Nordisk Panorama Forum

The 23rd Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries is open for submission of projects. NP Forum is the main funding event for the Nordic documentary community, taking place 18-20 September during Nordisk Panorama Film Festival in Malmö, Sweden.

Nordisk Panorama Forum welcomes independent documentary projects in all stages from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Åland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The forum is also open to cross-media documentary projects with a film or television component.

Accreditation to Nordisk Panorama Film Festival is Now Open

Register here before 15 August to get the early bird discount and join the prominent community of international and Nordic short and documentary representatives attending the festival. The early bird fee is 795 DKK (107 €). The fee for students is 575 DKK (77 €).

You can still submit your films completed in 2016 to Nordisk Panorama Market, where buyers, distributors, sales agents and programmers screen films all day long during the festival. Your film will also be available to buyers, distributors, sales agents and programmers at our online streaming service Nordisk Panorama Market Online. Deadline for submission of films completed in 2016 to the market is 1 August. Click here for regulations and online submission.

This year we invite the Nordic film industry to take an even bigger part in the making of the festival and we are hereby inviting you to co-host a party or a session with us during Nordisk Panorama 2016.

Meet the Eastern European Delegation at NP Forum

This year, Nordisk Panorama Forum welcomes a specially invited Eastern European delegation from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania arranged in co-operation with Institute of Documentary Film, to facilitate connections outside the Nordic countries.

The Eastern European producers will participate in the networking event Producers Meet Producers, where they will present themselves. Furthermore representatives of the delegation will outline the delegation’s production landscape in a session which for the first time this year will be open to all forum participants. The presentation of the delegation’s production landscape will take place Sunday afternoon.

The delegation has been invited to apply for pitching and meetings on the same terms as their Nordic colleagues. A maximum of 2 delegation projects can be selected for pitching and they also have the possibility of being selected as observer+.

In addition, we will welcome decision-makers from the delegation territory to the pitching and meeting tables.

Big Nordic Delegation at Sheffield Doc/Fest

Director Søren Poulsen and forum manager Christina Jul Gregersen will be at Sheffield Doc/Fest with an impressive Nordic delegation. 14 Nordic projects have been selected for this year’s MeetMarket and Alternate Realities Market and 17 films with Nordic involvement can be enjoyed in the official selection.

On Tuesday 14 June we will once again be hosting our infamous Nordic Vodka Hour at 22:00 during the ‘Guilty Pleasures Party’ at PLUG. All accredited guests are invited to meet the Nordic delegation over a shot (or two) of vodka! Don’t miss it!

Meet Nordisk Panorama at Good Pitch Europe

Director Søren Poulsen, Programme Manager Maja Lindquist and Forum Manager Christina Jul Gregersen will be present at Good Pitch Europe in Stockholm, Sweden 24 May to explore the field of impact campaigning for documentaries further.

It’s the second time Good Pitch Europe is hosted by the Nordic countries. The lineup of projects include four Nordic teams who will pitch their feature documentary and its associated audience engagement campaign in front of a live audience of funders and changemakers:

Good Pitch connects social justice films with new allies and partners and brings together independent documentary films with organisations that have innovation and social change at their heart.

Krakow, Hamburg & Grimstad – Meet Us There

Krakow Film Festival has a Focus on Sweden and programme manager Maja Lindquist will be there 31 May to 3 June. Maja will also be in Grimstad for the Norwegian Short Film Festival. Besides watching Norwegian films for this year’s Norwegian Focus at Nordisk Panorama, Maja will meet with the Norwegian industry and host our Nordic Vodka Hour.

Market Manager Jing Haase is attending Hamburg International Short Film Festival 2-5 June. Jing is there to expand the international network, promote Nordisk Panorama and the new films available at Nordisk Panorama Market Online, our free streaming service for international tv-buyers, sales agents, distributors and festival programmers.
